Welcome to the Cercle Français Ning! This social network is here to bring the members of the University of Richmond's Cercle Français together in an online community and help us celebrate French culture in a whole new way.
If it's French outside the classroom you're looking for, you're in the right place! Our past events include:
- The aptly-named
"Fromage à toi," an evening of cheese tasting
- An annual
Study Abroad Fair held in October, showcasing French and francophone countries
- A
Holiday Soirée with a chocolate fountain, a raffle, and guest speakers on the subject of "What can you do with a French major?"
- A
Valentine's Day Fête held in cooperation with Moore Hall Residence Life
...and many more!
Additionally, join us every week for an immersive "pose-café": an all-French coffee break held for members of the Cercle Français. Coffee and conversation provided free of charge!
Our Coffee Breaks are held every Thursday at 5pm in Puryear Hall's International Resource Center (Room 114).
The idea of the Ning is to flood this site with all of the French culture, language, media, and resources you could want. Contribute to the
Forum and add your thoughts, start a conversation, or practice your French with other members. Check out the
Events section to see what's up -- and if you know of an event that we haven't put up, you can let us know or add it yourself.
Best of all, see
who else on campus is just as interested in French as you are!
